The International Road Federation (IRF) has prepared the upcoming immersive workshop where participants will leave with the essential knowledge and skills needed to implement effective road engineering best management practices for climate resilience.
AnyWay Solution’s Alex Campbell, Director of Engineering Solutions, is joining industry subject matter expert Gordon Keller, Geotechnical Engineer and Project/Program Manager, with an impressive career spanning several decades, to deliver the various componants of the workshop with a focus on advanced engineering solutions to road projects to provide climate-resilient road networks.
What to expect: Over the course of five days, participants will delve into the scientific understanding of climate change, explore its impacts on infrastructure, and gain practical insights into adaptation measures. The training program will cover a wide range of critical aspects in road engineering, including strategic planning, disaster response and recovery, infrastructure assessment, surfacing materials selection, hydrological considerations, drainage design, slope stabilization techniques, water quality protection, and environmentally sensitive road maintenance practices. Throughout the workshop, participants will engage in interactive sessions, case studies, and field trips to enhance their understanding and practical application of climate-resilient road engineering concepts.
The IRF is an approved training provider by the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT).
